Louda Auto
The largest Czech dealer of Škoda and Hyundai

The largest and most modern in Central Europe. What will the new Louda Auto showroom be like?

Near Poděbrady, not far from the "Hradec" motorway, a project is underway that will redefine Czech expectations of car showrooms. Louda Auto is building a truly grand auto centre with a central warehouse. Spanning the size of six football fields, the area will accommodate more than 2,000 vehicles. But it’s not just about scale – it’s about a brand-new level of technology. We spoke with Leoš Lemberk, Sales Manager of Philips Professional Display Solutions for the Czech Republic and Slovakia, who gave us a glimpse of the upcoming LED displays and other tech features that await visitors to Central Europe's most modern showroom.

What can we expect from Louda Auto?
In my view, this is one of the most significant construction projects in the Czech Republic in recent years. It’s a large, four-storey building that will become one of the largest car showrooms in all of Europe. We're equipping the project with both hardware and software: video walls, displays, and LED walls. There are even plans for an outdoor LED screen to reach drivers directly from the nearby motorway.

What specific technologies are being deployed?
For video wall implementation, the customer selected a mix of 65" Philips thin-bezel panels from the 65BDL6005X series, and 55" models from the high-end 55BDL3005X series featuring 10-bit IPS panels. All panels are professionally calibrated to ensure flawless images and meet the stringent colour standards required by automotive manufacturers.

What are you currently working on?
Right now, construction work is being finished on the third floor, so we’re about to install our technologies on the next level. I believe this project will serve as a major reference not only for Louda Auto but also for us – a live showroom of what modern display technologies can offer, including showcasing several products not yet common on the Czech market.

You mentioned software alongside hardware. How is it used here?
We’ve gone beyond standard hardware solutions. For years, we've been developing our own Czech software called Artemis One, which enables extremely simple content management. We realised that even the best display technologies lose their appeal if they are too complex for marketing teams to use. That’s why we created a tool that allows users to manage everything from a single, intuitive dashboard — so easy that anyone can do it. Our philosophy is to make the system as simple as PowerPoint or any other everyday office tool. And to make sure everything important can be done in no more than four clicks.

Will Louda Auto use this system as well?
Yes, although in this case, content updates won’t be as frequent as with large retail chains. When we work with Shell or Alza, who operate hundreds of branches, content management is absolutely critical — one click can update displays nationwide. For Louda Auto, the emphasis is more on image quality, which will be truly top-tier.

Which other projects are you excited about right now?
I’m especially pleased with the entire automotive sector, which has regained momentum and is investing in cutting-edge technology. We've been working with Škoda Auto for quite some time. I was also glad to finalise cooperation with Hyundai’s Prague headquarters, where we equipped internal meeting rooms and hallways with Philips displays. What stood out was how the marketing department wanted to compare visual performance on-site — side-by-side — using actual advertising material for the new IONIQ model. We competed with several display manufacturers in a direct visual test — and came out on top, without needing any further calibration. That’s something that makes us proud.
